The Gold Putz is a middle-aged guy from Colorado.  He's a geophysicist in the oil & gas industry during the day.  Possessing the mind and spirit of an explorer, the Gold Putz finds investing in oil & gas wells to be above his pay grade, so he takes to the rivers to explore for gold.  Stricken by Gold Fever, the Gold Putz spends much of his time looking for new spots in the surprisingly-rich urban creeks of southeast Denver.  He also invents new devices to save labor and improve gold recovery.
